Job summary

Target is seeking a Seasonal Transportation Yard Coordinator in Denver to manage daily trailer movement at the distribution yard and uphold a safety-first culture. You’ll interact with carriers, validate trailer status, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining equipment readiness.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, and strong multi-tasking and communication skills. Prior yard or traffic-management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
• Direct experience within a distribution center truck yard, or traffic management preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily trailer movement within Target’s distribution center yards.
• Promote a safety-first culture and address unsafe acts promptly.
• Communicate trailer needs, movement, and progress to DC executives.
• Monitor trailer releases to meet scheduled deliveries to stores and track equipment.
• Conduct trailer inventories and coordinate preventive maintenance checks.
• Collaborate with First Mile Transportation to manage trailer pools and freight flow volatility.
