Job summary

Target is seeking a Seasonal Transportation Yard Coordinator to execute daily trailer movement within Target's Distribution Center yards. You will uphold a safety-first culture and work with carriers to ensure safety expectations are met and incidents are addressed promptly.

You will keep the yard management system current, verify trailer status, manage trailer releases to stores, and collaborate with First Mile Transportation to balance freight flow and maintain yard efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Experience working in a high volume, high activity environment.
• Direct experience within a distribution center truck yard, or traffic management preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily trailer movement within Target's Distribution Center yards.
• Foster a safety-first culture and address unsafe acts with carriers.
• Maintain and update the yard management system with current trailer status.
• Ensure timely trailer releases to stores and monitor equipment for preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with First Mile Transportation to balance freight flow and yard efficiency.
