Job summary

The Kirtland Local School District is seeking a Winter Season Weight Room Supervisor to oversee the school’s strength and conditioning facility. The role ensures a safe environment for student-athletes and staff, manages daily operations, and enforces safety protocols.

Responsibilities include supervising facilities and students, maintaining order, and coordinating with the Athletic Director to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• License appropriate for the assignment.
• Clear BCII/FBI background check.
• Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
• Relevant coaching experience.
• Completion of all pupil activity supervisor validation requirements.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
• Meets all prerequisite qualifications to be bonded.
• Supervisor must NOT be a paid coach who is in season.

Responsibilities

• Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
• Supervises strength training facilities and students using campus facilities for safety.
• Keeps the facility clean and organized, ensuring weights are cleared after sessions.
• Promotes a positive image of the district and partnerships that enhance programs.
• Assists Athletic Director to evaluate program needs and provides coaching guidance.
• Ensures proper use and care of school property and timely injury documentation.
• Maintains student privacy and reports concerns to administration.
• Provides high standards of conduct and supervises students in the weight room.
