Job summary

U.S. Department of the Interior in Colorado seeks a Seasonal Utility System Repairer-Operator to assist in the repair, maintenance and operation of water treatment and distribution facilities. Qualifications

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Certification as Water Treatment Operator Grade D and/or Water Distribution Operator Grade 1 or higher is required.
Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable review.
Uniform provided with uniform allowance; government housing may be available.
Seasonal position with March–July 2027 start window; may be full-time or part-time.
Must have valid driver's license and be able to travel as required.

Responsibilities

Assist in repair, maintenance and operation of water treatment facilities and distribution systems.
Read meters, monitor devices, and troubleshoot electrical components.
Assist in laboratory sampling and bacteriological analyses.
Perform duties in various facilities, sometimes in hard-to-reach locations; follow safety procedures.
