Job description

Seasonal Water Laborer
$15/hr

The Town of West Springfield seeks qualified individual(s) to fill the position of Seasonal Laborer. Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works this position handles groundskeeping and maintenance of all DPW Water Division property as well as general labor as needed. This is a Seasonal Non-Benefitted position from July 1, 2025 - September 30, 2025. Hours of work are 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.

• Performs groundskeeping: Mows, weeds, trims, plants, seeds, rakes, fertilizes, grades andtrims bushes
• Performsmaintenance: Cleaning, sweeping, power washing, painting and minor building repairs
• Performs general labor: Assists DPW Water Division staff with preventative maintenance programs including leak detection, hydrant flushing, gate valve exercising and hydrant inspections
