Job summary

Aramark's Denali Park Village in Alaska seeks an experienced Wastewater Treatment & Collection System Operator to operate two treatment plants, collect systems, and maintain related infrastructure during the May–September season.

This hands-on position requires independent decision-making, strong technical skills, and a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship while serving guests and staff at a premier seasonal destination.

Qualifications

• Current state wastewater operator certification; reciprocity preferred for Alaska.
• Alaska Provisional Wastewater Collection License or ability to obtain.
• Experience operating and maintaining wastewater treatment systems.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
• Valid driver's license; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to regulatory compliance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain two wastewater treatment plants and collection systems.
• Monitor, test, document, and evaluate daily operations and performance.
• Collect samples and coordinate laboratory testing; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Submit reports including ADEC, NetDMR, and compliance records.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, lift stations, motors, valves, and piping.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and process-control issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Monitor chemical feed systems and sludge handling; respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate with contractors, regulators, and leadership; maintain logs and records.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support.
