Job summary

Town of Windsor, CA seeks a part-time Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Worker to assist in the Wastewater Division and other public works tasks. The role offers 20-25 hours per week, weekdays with occasional weekends, and remains open until filled.

Duties include weed abatement, minor painting of facilities and hydrants, and general site maintenance at pumping and treatment facilities. Requires mobility, ability to lift 25–50 pounds (100 with team), and a valid CA driver’s license with DMV

Qualifications

• Must possess mobility to work in the field.
• Ability to lift between 25–50 pounds; up to 100 pounds with team.
• Valid California Driver's License and DMV printout required.
• Background and fingerprint check and drug screening will occur.
• College coursework related to wastewater treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weed and brush abatement.
• Minor painting of facilities, piping/appurtenances and hydrants.
• Manual labor work; digging and lifting heavy objects.
• General site maintenance at pumping and treatment facilities.
• Position within Wastewater may receive OIT contact hours.
