Job summary

State of Indiana's Adjutant General's Office is hiring for a Warehouse Specialist at Stout Field. The role covers identifying, receiving, issuing and accounting for supplies, materials, and tools used by the Facilities Maintenance Section.

The position is seasonal (180 days) with a competitive hourly wage. Ideal candidates have warehousing and administrative experience, with proficiency in PeopleSoft AM, Excel, Access, and QuickBooks, and a valid Indiana driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Five years of full-time warehousing experience plus two years in administrative, procurement, managerial, or supervisory roles.
• Experience inputting data into PeopleSoft AM module.
• Proficiency with Excel and Access programs.
• Experience with QuickBooks and familiarity with vendor catalogs and manuals.
• Knowledge of inventory accountability and requisition/purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Warehouse Manager in preparing requisitions; order, deliver, unload, and issue materials and tools.
• Advise on pick-up, procurement actions, and account status of the Warehouse.
• Maintain vendor catalogs, repair manuals, and technical bulletins.
• Manage inventory of parts and equipment; suggest requisitions.
• Maintain tools/equipment, perform basic repairs, and report damaged items.
• Keep warehouse safe and clean; ensure SDS compliance.
• Investigate manuals for parts; repair or replace as needed.
• Supervise stock issue, service, and disposal; back-up for distribution.
• Perform daily invoicing for supply transactions using QuickBooks.
• Assist in building safety training for agency staff and equipment use.
• Support building and equipment maintenance; perform related duties.
