Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking a warehouse/receiving associate for a 4–6 month assignment in Newton, NJ. The role runs 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, and involves receiving goods, inspecting against documentation, and coordinating with the shop for subcontracted services.

You will move items within the facility using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and carts, while maintaining safety and quality standards. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with D365 are a plus.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and D365.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required or equivalent work experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to shift tasks as priorities change.

Responsibilities

• Receives and inventories goods, checks against documentation, and aids unloading.
• Directs items to appropriate departments after inspection.
• Moves inventory using pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, or freight elevators.
• Coordinates subcontracting services for the shop, including anodizing and production orders.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in the workspace.
