Job summary

Backcountry is seeking a motivated individual to join our Warehouse team as a Merchandise Processor for a seasonal period up to six months. No part-time positions available. You will pack orders, load packages for shipment, and stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment.

Three shifts are available: AM 6:00a-2:30p ($16.00/hr), PM 2:30p-11:00p ($17.85/hr with differential), and WKN 8:00a-8:30p ($18.00/hr with differential). Overtime may occur during peak season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Verbal and written comprehension of the English language required.
• Fundamental math skills required.
• Must be able to apply established procedures and follow oral/written instructions.
• Must be able to work independently without direct supervision and organize/prioritize workload to ensure completion of all tasks within established time frames.
• Computer skills, including familiarity with the internet and email required.
• Experience operating power industrial equipment (e.g., standing order picker or forklift).

Responsibilities

• Stand and walk for your entire shift.
• Read and Audit Labels.
• Identify, count, and sort packages and inventory with a high level of accuracy.
• Understand and differentiate between shipping methods and sort packages accordingly.
• Use automated packaging equipment.
• Participate in team meetings, follow guidance, and provide feedback as appropriate.
• Maintain a clean workspace.
• Fixing problems that occur to ensure inventory and/or shipping accuracy.
• Resolving inventory issues by adjusting inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in LEAN initiatives.
