Job summary

Viking Electric in Mankato, MN is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler for a part-time role ending by 12/31/26. Noon start, Monday–Friday, pay $19–$24/hour with benefits and possible bonus. You will pick, pack, and ship orders, operate basic warehouse equipment, and help maintain a safe, efficient warehouse.

Requirements include 18+, ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, basic math, and willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanner. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (75 lbs with assistance)
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Basic math skills (add/subtract)
• Willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanner (training provided)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material safely using a forklift, pallet jack, or similar device (training provided).
• Count, check and record items entering or leaving the warehouse.
• Use a handheld scanner to track inventory levels.
• Assemble, package, label, and route material for delivery or storage.
• Keep products organized and protect against damage; follow safety procedures.

Warehouse Material Handler

Location: Mankato, MN

Job type: Part Time (assignment ending on or before 12/31/26)

Schedule: Noon Start time, Monday - Friday

Hourly pay: $19.00/hr - $24.00/hr (pay increases in ranged based on warehouse experience brought to job)

**Compensation for this position includes hourly pay, short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role.

What You'll Do

As a warehouse associate, you're key to driving a great customer experience by getting products from our warehouse to our customers. As orders come in, you help fill them accurately by finding the right products and getting them packaged and onto our trucks. You'll work in a positive, fast-paced environment with a supportive team.

You will...

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material in a safe manner using a forklift, pallet jack, handcart,or other device (no experience required - we provide training)
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels, allowing us to track appropriate inventory levels
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage
• Help us keep products free from damage and organized
• Follow and promote procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure

What You Bring

Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, or up to 75 lbs. with the assistance of supportive equipment or team members
• Ability to stand and walk for much of your shift
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment like a forklift and handheld scanning device (we provide training)
• Ability to work in various temperatures within our warehouse
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
