Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler in Minneapolis, MN. The role runs 9pm–5am, Sunday through Thursday, with hourly pay of $23.00–$28.00 and full benefits.

You will load/unload trucks, scan inventory, and prepare orders for delivery while maintaining safety standards and accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (75 lbs with assistance).
• Ability to stand and walk much of shift.
• Basic math skills (addition/subtraction).
• Willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanning equipment (training provided).
• Work in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Authorized to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Warehouse Material Handler

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Job type: Full Time

Schedule: 9pm-5am, Sunday - Thursday (third shift)

Hourly pay: $23.00-$28.00/hr

Compensation for this position includes hourly salary, short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role.

As a warehouse associate, you’re key to driving a great customer experience by getting products from our warehouse to our customers. As orders come in, you help fill them accurately by finding the right products and getting them packaged and onto our trucks. You’ll work in a positive, fast-paced environment with a supportive team.

You will…

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material in a safe manner using a forklift, pallet jack, handcart,cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts,or other device (no experience required - we provide training)
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels, allowing us to track appropriate inventory levels
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage
• Help us keep products free from damage and organized
• Follow and promote procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure

What You Bring

Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, or up to 75 lbs. with the assistance of supportive equipment or team members
• Ability to stand and walk for much of your shift
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment like a forklift and handheld scanning device (we provide training)
• Ability to work in various temperatures within our warehouse
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
