Job summary

S&S Activewear is hiring a seasonal Machine Operator in Fort Worth, TX. You will retrieve inventory, operate warehouse equipment, and support product transfers in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role runs 2pm–10:30pm, Monday to Friday, and is onsite. This 90-day seasonal position requires reliability, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Must be comfortable using electronic devices.
• Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately.
• Ability to operate warehouse machinery - Forklift/Cherry Picker Driver Experience.
• Must be flexible with start and departure time changing.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment such as Forklift, Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Stock Chaser, Pallet jack and scanners.
• Perform daily safety inspections for all equipment used.
• Maintain productivity and meet daily targets.
• Retrieve inventory from up-stock and floor locations and deliver to designated areas.
• Operate barcode scanner and warehouse software.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse and follow leadership directions.
• Handle cleaning activities as required and adapt to priority changes.

About the Role

The Machine Operator will be responsible for retrieving inventory from both floor locations and up-stock storage for Product Transfers and deliver to the designated area for stocking or shipment. The Restock Driver is required to operate machinery following all safety rules and regulations.

NOTE: As a seasonal hire you have a defined employment time period of 90 days from date of hire.

Monday - Friday (2pm - 10:30pm), Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Onsite: Fort Worth, TX

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Operate material handling equipment needed to perform primary role i.e; Forklift, Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Stock Chaser (Cart), Pallet jack, Scanners, Tablets and Company WMS.
• Perform and complete daily safety inspection check list for all equipment used.
• Maintain productivity minimum requirements CPH, and work with a sense of urgency
• Retrieve inventory from up-stock and floor locations and deliver to designated areas
• Operate barcode scanner and use warehouse software
• Act professionally and remain focused while working
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment
• Follow directions of leadership
• Perform cleaning activities as required
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
• The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
• Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines.
• Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
