Job summary

Genesco Inc. is seeking Seasonal Warehouse Associate positions with starting pay of $16.00/hour.

The role requires standing for 8–10 hours, lifting up to 45 pounds, and performing picking, packing, and scanning of orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities include unloading, inventory audits, and using WMS/hand-held devices to process tasks, with overtime and some Saturdays during peak season.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of warehouse systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Seasonal Warehouse Associate Positions - Now Accepting Applications

Starting Pay - $16.00/hour

Essential Job Functions:

• Consistently at work and on time with overtime and some Saturdays required during peak season
• Picking, packaging, and scanning of orders accurately
• Utilization of computer, WMS systems and/or hand-held computers to receive/process daily tasks
• Processing, shipping, and auditing of orders
• Receive, unload, place, and audit inventory appropriately
• Complete inspections as required, utilizing confirmation samples
• Stocking and restocking bin locations
• Performing multiple tasks within warehouse environment that could vary daily, weekly, or monthly as assigned by Team Leader or Manager
• Ability to cross-train in other areas
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by sweeping, dusting and mopping to keep shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat and clean
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 45 pounds
• Associates are required to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend at the waist, stoop, reach, grab, push/pull with hands/arms for 8 to 10 hours per day
• Ability to work individually as required and stay focused to complete tasks
• Strong Quality and Customer Focus ensuring that order deadlines and customer needs are met
• All other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6 months warehouse experience preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while being detail-oriented
• Reliability and dependability are essential
