Job summary

FAO Schwarz in New York seeks a Seasonal Visual Merchandising Associate to support the vision of the Global Visual Director and team, executing store standards and creating displays that wow our guests. This part-time role (20-29 hours/week) emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and maintaining a high level of visual finesse across all in-store presentations, signage, and window displays.

Qualifications

1+ year in a visual or merchandising role in a fast-paced premium retail or experience-based environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexible availability across early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnights as needed.
Graphic design or production experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly customer service and direct guests to department specialists.
Create visually engaging product placement and vitrines to excite guests.
Ensure signage is clearly displayed for pricing, sales, and events.
Assist Visual team with daily tasks and maintain merchandising standards.
Support SKUs representation on the selling floor and communicate needs to plan resources.
Attend store walks to align on direction and implement changes as needed.
Set up new displays including window elements, props, and mannequin styling.
Analyze displays to drive revenue and share insights with the Visual Team.
Follow direction from Visual Leads to set products based on planograms.
