Job summary

Pelham School District's Pelham High School is seeking a Varsity Outdoor Track & Field Coach for the upcoming season. This seasonal, part-time role carries a stipend and supports student-athletes in practices and meets.

You will establish coaching philosophy, supervise sessions, ensure safety procedures, and foster sportsmanship while linking with middle school and youth programs. Citizenship/residency or work visa is required.

Qualifications

Prior high school varsity or JV coaching experience.
CPR/First Aid Certification
NFHS Certification
Knowledge of coaching techniques and NHIAA rules
Demonstrated ability to instruct, lead and supervise student athletes
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

Establish the fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques to be taught by the coaching staff.
Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote growth.
Adhere to injury procedures established by Pelham High School Athletic Department.
Take precautions to protect student athletes, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Be supportive of student participation in other school activities and communicate with colleagues regarding expectations.
Develop a program within the town by connecting with middle school and youth programs.
