Job summary

RSM invites you to join a seasonal, experiential Toy Shop as Seasonal Assistant Store Manager. You will support daily store operations and assist the Store Manager, ensuring the shop runs smoothly during the holiday program.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling POS transactions, stocking shelves, managing the make-and-take activity, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. Schedule is about 40 hours per week, November 4, 2026 – December 27, 2026.

Qualifications

• Customer-service, retail, hospitality or cashier experience preferred.
• Comfort with using a POS system and handling transactions.
• Friendly, energetic, patient, and able to engage customers in a retail environment.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to learn weekly activity instructions and product information.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations and serve as an additional point of support for the team as needed.
• Greet customers, answer basic product and store questions, help shoppers locate items, and refer policy or product issues to the Store Manager.
• Operate the POS when assigned, processing merchandise, payments, and receipts while following controls.
• Explain instructions for the make-and-take activity, distribute materials, manage the queue, and reset/sanitize the area.
• Maintain full, front-facing shelves; recover and organize merchandise and coordinate replenishment with the Store Manager and associates.
• Assist with opening/closing tasks, including signage checks, shelf organization, and post-visit clean-up.
• Follow safety, incident reporting, loss-prevention, dress-code, and customer-service requirements, adjusting duties as needed.
