Job summary

Opti Staffing in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Seasonal Tire Technician to handle mounting, dismounting, balancing and rotating tires during peak changeover season.

You will work in a fast-paced shop, lifting 50+ lbs, using an impact wrench and tire balancing equipment, and assisting with customer vehicle intake. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience, with Mon–Sat hours during changeover.

The role:

Mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotating tires for a busy Anchorage tire shop during peak seasonal demand (spring studded-to-summer and fall summer-to-studded changeovers). Fast-paced, physical, walk-in customer volume.

• Mount and dismount tires using shop equipment
• Balance wheels and perform rotations
• Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper pressure
• Use an impact wrench and basic hand tools
• Keep the bay organized and safe
• Assist with customer vehicle intake as needed

Minimum qualifications:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and squat for full shifts
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable, consistent attendance during peak season
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Prior tire shop or automotive experience
• Experience with impact wrenches / tire balancing equipment
• Alaska winter driving experience (a plus, not required)
