Job description

SUMMARY:

Processes a variety of customer transactions at a teller window. Recognizes customer needs and recommends products, services, or assistance of other bank employees or departments, to consistently deliver a superior level of customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strong knowledge of bank products and services, with the ability to recognize customer needs, and cross-sell bank products
2. Participate in the bank's referral program, and utilize any applicable technology and/or programs to effectively show results
3. Operate and balance a terminal and cash drawer daily
4. Accept and process transactions: savings, checking, Holiday Savings accounts, loan payments, SDB rental payments, sell money orders/official checks, and cash withdrawals
5. Accept checks for cashing according to FNB check handling procedures
6. Participate and successfully complete all required training courses
7. Be flexible and willing to create a teamwork-oriented work environment
8. Perform additional branch duties outside of transaction processing as needed
9. Handle all cash, customer transactions, and information securely, following FNB policies
10. Work flexible schedules to meet branch staffing needs, including working across multiple branches within a district
11. Maintain confidentiality of all customer information
12. Accept responsibilities and projects assigned by supervisors to add value to Farmers National Bank
13. Work positively in a team environment with coworkers and the public
14. Complete mandatory and elective training, including BSA and Anti-Money Laundering procedures, maintaining compliance with all regulations
15. Maintain regular, predictable attendance
16. Perform all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED
• Proven cash handling experience
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with office equipment such as calculators, phones, fax machines
• Customer service and/or sales experience
