Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for clients, conduct in-depth interviews, and provide personalized recommendations.

This in-person role emphasizes building trusted client relationships and delivering tax savings opportunities using industry-leading training and technology. You will collaborate with team members, provide IRS support, and contribute to a positive office environment while advancing your tax expertise

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with complex situations (individual and business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Provide recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and product relevance
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a client-focused office environment
