Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and deliver top service with the support of a trained team. You will conduct client interviews, prepare returns, and provide IRS assistance while growing client relationships throughout the season.

The role emphasizes advanced tax training, proficiency with virtual tools, and a collaborative environment within a franchise network. A CPA/EA or related degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services
• Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
• Mentor and support teammates
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
