Job summary

H&R Block in Americus, GA is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team and advanced training to help you succeed.

You will conduct tax interviews (in-person and via virtual tools), prepare complete and accurate returns, and provide IRS support while pursuing ongoing certification requirements and opportunities to grow client relationships and expand services.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services
• Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
• Mentor and support teammates
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Skills

Experience completing complex returns

5+ years of experience in accounting

Experience conducting virtual tax 인터뷰s

Experience with tax planning and audit

Sales and/or marketing experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
