Job summary

H&R Block in Ogden, Utah is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare returns, advise clients, and uncover tax savings while delivering friendly, client-focused service at a local office.

You will interview clients, handle complex individual and small-business returns, ensure IRS requirements, and collaborate with the team to deliver accurate results using our training and technology. In-person role with competitive hourly pay and incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role.
• Strong communication skills to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and implications.
• Provide tax-saving recommendations and cross-sell H&R Block products.
• Offer IRS support and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office.
