Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns and guide clients through complex tax situations. This in-person role offers industry-leading training and an incentive plan to reward impact as you build tax expertise and serve clients.

You will conduct client interviews, identify tax savings opportunities, and provide IRS support while developing lasting client relationships in a local tax office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• Completion of HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations.
• Conduct client interviews to understand finances and tax implications, offering recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
