You will prepare returns for individuals and small businesses, interview clients to understand financial situations, and identify tax savings opportunities with guidance from our training and technology.

You will build trusted client relationships, explain tax concepts in clear terms, and participate in ongoing education to stay current with IRS rules and product offerings.

Qualifications

• Must complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
• 1+ year of tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and product solutions
• Offer IRS-related support, notices, and audit guidance as needed
