Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to serve clients in a local office. You will prepare complete and accurate returns for individuals and businesses and conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations.

You'll identify tax savings opportunities, provide recommendations, and deliver clear guidance with our training and technology. This role is in-person with competitive hourly pay and an incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 1 year+ experience in tax prep or related fields.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles.
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and implications.
• Provide tax savings opportunities and recommend H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a client-focused office environment.
