Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional in Colorado, Evans to prepare complete, accurate returns for individuals and businesses and to interview clients for personalized tax guidance.

You’ll use industry-leading training and technology, deliver empathetic service, uncover tax savings opportunities, and earn with an incentive plan as you build tax expertise and serve clients in a local office.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations (individual and business).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
