Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with complex tax situations, prepare accurate returns, and identify savings opportunities. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office and supported by industry-leading training and technology.

You will conduct client interviews, deliver empathetic service, and build lasting relationships while working with a supportive team to navigate individual and business tax needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation experience for individuals and businesses.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative or advisory roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications, then provide recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
