Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1 year of tax prep, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience (individual and business returns)
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete ongoing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and build trusted client relationships
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
