Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, interview clients, and identify savings opportunities at a local tax office.

As part of a training-driven environment, you’ll use industry-leading tools and be supported by a strong incentive plan while building lasting client relationships and growing tax expertise.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong communication skills to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive office environment
