Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns, interview clients, and identify tax savings opportunities. You will work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, delivering empathetic, consultative service while building lasting client relationships.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of tax or related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and cross-sell H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a client-focused office environment.
