Job summary

H&R Block seeks a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, supported by an expert team and advanced tax training.

You’ll conduct interviews face-to-face and virtually, prepare complete and accurate tax returns, and help clients with IRS notices and audit support where eligible. You’ll also look for opportunities to grow the client base and expand services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
