Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to assess tax implications, and offer personalized recommendations while identifying tax savings opportunities.

You will provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed, build trusted client relationships, and collaborate with the team in a local office to deliver empathetic, consultative service and measurable results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients including individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend HR Block products
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
