Job summary

H&R Block in Asheville, NC is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare returns and advise clients with confidence, using our training and technology to maximize savings.

You will interview clients, identify tax opportunities, and provide support on IRS notices, while building lasting relationships in a local office. This is an in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative role.
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain tax concepts.
• Must meet IRS and state continuing education requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and HRB products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
