H&R Block is seeking an Experienced Tax Professional for a seasonal in-person role at a local tax office. You will prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct in-depth client interviews, and deliver personalized recommendations.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
