Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Experienced Tax Professional for a seasonal, in-person role at a local tax office. You will prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and provide personalized recommendations.

You will build trusted client relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, support clients during IRS notices, and collaborate with teammates in a supportive, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Completed HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience
• Experience in a client facing, consultative role
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients including individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
