H&R Block is seeking aSeasonal Experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with complex tax scenarios, prepare accurate returns, and uncover savings opportunities using our advanced training and technology.

This in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office involves client interviews, personalized tax guidance, and delivering empathetic service while supporting a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• At least 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS and state requirements and complete continuing education.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide clear recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
