Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional in Ohio to help clients navigate complex tax situations, prepare accurate returns, and uncover savings opportunities.

You’ll leverage top training and technology, earn a competitive hourly rate, and participate in an incentive plan as you build tax expertise within a client-focused office. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Must complete H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• At least 1 year of tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience including individuals and businesses.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with complex situations, including individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications, providing clear recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax-saving opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
