H&R Block seeks a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete, accurate returns for individuals and businesses and to interview clients for a clear understanding of their tax situation.

You will deliver personalized recommendations and build trusted client relationships while leveraging H&R Block’s training and technology, with a competitive hourly rate and incentive plan to reward impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
