Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations and build lasting relationships. You will prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and offer personalized recommendations backed by industry-leading training and technology.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
Strong verbal and written communication and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
High school diploma / GED / equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and HR Block products.
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
