Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to serve clients at a local tax office. You will prepare complete, accurate returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to understand financial changes, and offer personalized recommendations.

You’ll build trusted relationships through empathetic, consultative service while leveraging training and technology. The role offers an hourly rate with an incentive plan, and opportunities to grow in tax and financial services.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of tax-related experience
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role
• Strong communication skills in plain language
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, notices handling, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and foster a positive, client-focused office environment
