Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns and guide clients through complex tax situations. This in-person role focuses on client interviews, personalized recommendations, and providing tax-saving opportunities within a supportive office.

You will work with a team to deliver client-focused service, leveraging training and technology to build lasting relationships and grow tax expertise.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and promote related H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive office environment.
