This in-person role emphasizes client relationships, tax-saving opportunities, and collaborative teamwork within a local tax office environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or enrollment in the program.
• At least 1 year of tax prep or related experience.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explains tax concepts clearly.
• High school diploma or GED and ongoing IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse clients.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Deliver empathetic, consultative service and build client relationships.
• Provide IRS support, notices handling, and audit guidance as needed.
