Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns, interview clients, and identify tax savings opportunities at a local office. You will deliver consultative service and build lasting client relationships using our training and technology.

This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate and an incentive plan. Candidates should have at least 1 year of tax experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex tax concepts

Qualifications

• Completion of HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year in tax prep, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
