Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication, translating tax concepts to clients
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance preferred
• 5+ years of tax preparation/related experience preferred
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) or related credential preferred
• Familiarity with GoSystem or UltraTax software
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Build trusted client relationships and offer relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office
