H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations and provide personalized guidance. You will conduct client interviews, identify savings opportunities, and deliver empathetic service in a local office.

This role emphasizes building trusted client relationships, delivering clear recommendations, and leveraging leading training and technology to serve clients during peak season.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
• At least 1 year of tax prep or related experience including individual and business returns
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to explain tax concepts clearly to clients
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
