Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional in Nashville, TN to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct in-depth client interviews, and provide personalized recommendations. Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax prep or related field
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to explain tax concepts
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations (individual and business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications, then provide recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
