You will work in-person at a local H&R Block office and contribute to a supportive, client-focused team.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including explaining tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED (required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations (individual and business).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities and H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
