Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and deliver personalized recommendations. You will help clients navigate complex tax situations with support from training and technology.

This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate and an incentive plan as you build tax expertise. Ideal candidates have tax prep experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain tax concepts

Qualifications

• 1 year of tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financials and tax implications.
• Provide tax savings opportunities and advise on H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with office team to maintain a positive, client-focused environment.
