H&R Block seeks an Experienced Tax Professional for in-person work at a local tax office. You’ll prepare returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to understand their finances, and offer personalized tax-saving guidance.

Qualifications

• Completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• At least 1 year of tax prep experience including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct client interviews to understand finances and tax implications; provide recommendations.
• Build client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive client-focused office.
